“How young do you start teaching junior golfers?”
I get this question all the time—and my answer is always the same:
You’re never too young to start.
For new juniors, what we introduce depends less on age and more on strength, attention span, and hand-eye coordination. Through carefully designed games, even the youngest students can begin developing golf-ready movement patterns without the need for technical instruction.
As they progress, we gradually introduce mechanics while keeping the experience fun, light, and rewarding. For that reason, all junior lessons are limited to 30 minutes—to keep juniors at their peak attention and excitement level. The goal isn’t to grind through technique. It’s to plant a seed they’ll want to keep growing. My focus is to bring a youth-centered, growth-focused approach to coaching that emphasizes skill development, character, and long-term enjoyment of the game.
